BUSAN, South Korea — On February 24, 2026, DONG-EUI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY hosted a university-wide workshop for all faculty and staff at the Jinri Building Convention Center.

The morning session featured a keynote address by author Sun Lee, titled "CES 2026: Innovation Has Already Begun in the Field." The lecture translated the complex shifts in AI, industry, and education into practical, field-oriented insights for university educators.

A central focus of the keynote was the profound implications of CES 2026 on higher education, urging a reassessment of current educational goals to align with the AI era. The session provided in-depth technical analyses of leading US and Chinese companies, including NVIDIA, AMD, OpenAI, John Deere, Caterpillar, Waymo, and Geely, as well as Best of Innovation Award winners. A particular highlight of the session was a technical breakdown of NVIDIA’s AI-dedicated Ethernet implementation using ConnectX-9, BlueField-4, and Spectrum-X to offload data transfer, security, and virtualization tasks, alongside the architecture that links 72 GPUs into a single unified computer via NVLink 6 and Vera Rubin NVL72 racks.

The lecture also covered The Boring Company, which provided essential transit solutions for CES attendees, alongside Tesla and SpaceX as critical, non-participating benchmarks and competitors, collectively highlighting how AI and autonomous systems are actively expanding the boundaries of traditional industries.

The session also featured an analysis of the milestone partnership between AMD and OpenAI to deploy 6 gigawatts of AI infrastructure utilizing the next-generation Instinct MI450 series. The lecture highlighted the shifting dynamics of the global semiconductor market and underscored how these strategic alliances among tech giants will reshape both industry and higher education landscapes.

The workshop also addressed operational and pedagogical transformation through Audio-Visual-Data Technology (AVDT) frameworks, alongside targeted strategies to nurture "Super Technicians" within vocational colleges.
